Capacity to Lead! #LeaderMemoirs

We were always grinding, we didn’t remain where we started, we became hungrier! But as a leader there was so much I could give at this stage. I didn’t have enough to feed our hungry talents, I lacked management skills to keep the over talented people with the team. So when people who wanted more wanted to leave, they left and I was happy! Because I knew it will be nice to keep them but deep down I no longer have cubs but lions now,  the appetite is different, so its ok when they leave, until I have what it takes to feed a pride! Until then I just maintain my nursery!
.
.
When I was a leader of a band, people who were hungry for more than what I could afford, they didn’t stay too long and were dissatisfied with  my status-quo, so it was better for us to part ways!
.
.
One thing you learn in being a leader is knowing you can't have everyone on your team, or you just can't keep some people for so long! Ask yourself if you can lead them before you decide to work with them, they may be good, fit your work culture and be productive but can you feed their thirst?

Don’t beg them to stay! #LeaderMemoirs

One of the things you will deal with leadership, is the fear of dealing with good or fair people leaving you, and you asking where would you find talent like that again?!

Listen if they want to go let them go, there so much you can do to convince them to stay, also if they have their minds made up let it be. You’re  going somewhere far and a person in your team with their mind set on another thing can ruin your process of progress! As a leader you don’t want someone who you begged to stay ruin your reputation,

There is a Reward after you give whatever it takes.. #Leadership

A buddy of mine stepped into the cooperate world, knowing that GOD had led HIM to work on a project he had very little experience in, but was available, ready to learn and give his all to do whatever it takes to succeed. In a couple months he learned the ropes and had to lead a team on several projects. We prayed together for Wisdom, that GOD will guide and make him successful! At the end of the day he made it, he became a force to reckoned with, and he is helping people who have more experience than he does! I won't say there were no bad days, where we questioned if GOD really wanted him to stay in that line of work, but we trusted GOD, that got us through the good times will get us through the bad ones! The good things people have to say about him and the job right now is amazing! It pays to hold on!!!
